Going All the Way to the Épée

The Calcalist magazine article "Going All the Way to the Épée" tells the story of Yaakov Ferdman and the club he built in Maalot. Anna London, a fencer from the club, wrote the following:

Not just a coach — also a teacher, an educator, and someone who shows a path in life.

He built much more than a fencing club. He created a home, a community, and a place where children can dream, grow, believe in themselves, and reach achievements they may never have thought possible.

This is not only a place of medals and competitions. It is a place of values, discipline, persistence, friendship, and belonging. A place that welcomes children and accompanies them for years — on the piste and beyond it.

I am proud to be part of this life's work. I have been with him since I was 10, and he has been a significant part of my path as an athlete and as a person. It is moving to see everything he built receive the recognition it deserves. ❤️

I love you, Yaakov !!!
